2020 Census
One of the best ways to keep Dr. King’s dream for the future alive is to engage, educate and encourage residents to know that – whoever they are and wherever they’re from – they count in the 2020 census.
Every 10 years, everyone living in the United States is counted in the census by the U.S. Census Bureau. The count is used to assign power at every level of government and distribute more than $675 billion each year to communities across the nation. Decisions about Indy's future – and the dollars for it – come down to counting everyone, especially YOU!
KKMI is proud to be part of the Complete Count Committee for Count Me INdy working to bolster awareness around the census and motivate residents to participate and make sure that populations and neighborhoods that have been historically under-counted are heard.
