UPDATE: APRIL 4, 2018 COMMEMORATION LOGISTICS
Dress for the weather
Despite recent heavy rains and storms, the two 50th Anniversary Commemorative events will go on as planned, with slight adjustments, for April 4 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
The weather has made it impossible for organizers to put up a tent or chairs for the 10:30 am event, and therefore, those who have reserved tickets for the morning should come dressed for cold, windy weather and be prepared to stand for the duration of the 90-minute events.
Last minute venue change for 5:00 pm event!
The 5:00 pm commemoration ceremony has been moved INDOORS to Center for Inquiry School 27 immediately west of the park, at 545 E. 19th Street. Please remember to bring your tickets, either on paper or smartphone.
Thank you, CFI!
Free live streaming online
Both April 4 commemoration events are currently sold out, but you can watch the morning event downtown at Central Library (40 E. St. Clair Street) or live stream from any mobile device.
